NewEthic Gym in 2024

We are a small community but we are a passionate community. We believe in justice for all animals and justice for all humans. We also believe that taking care of ourselves through exercise, nutrition, and proper recovery can help us show up better for those that matter to us. In that, I invite you to a free week of local training in Norfolk, or online training through Zoom. Try a week for free, and see what we can accomplish together. Email edbauerfit@gmail.com to get started.

NewEthic has a new 18 foot by 27 foot outdoor cover for more dry training space. If you are interested in checking it out, shoot me an email at edbauerfit@gmail.com. I would be happy to show you around.

(Updated) OCB RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIPS – December 3rd, 2022

Although I love CrossTraining, I have just competed with the PlantBuilt Vegan Strong Team at the Mr. America Sports Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey. We had around 23 athletes competing in CrossFit, BodyBuilding and Powerlifting. We took home many first place awards and showed the world the plants have all the protein you need. This was my first time competing in Men’s Physique since 2013. I took home 2nd place in my category. This set a fire in me to try again and go for the gold!

I am officially taking the stage again on Saturday December 3rd at the OCB Richmond Championships in Hopewell, VA. I would love it it some folks could come out and support me! I am out to show that vegans can dominate on the bodybuilding stage. The event link is: https://www.facebook.com/events/281015234093329 I will be taking the stage between 12pm-2pm. I hope to see you there! Tickets are $40 and are available at https://ocbonline.com/events/tickets.php?event=Mzgy&eventinfo=OCB120322VA

This event will be available on livestream for $19.95. The link for those who cannot attend in person is https://ocbonline.com/live.php

Online Workout Classes

This class uses bodyweight mostly, but also I would like everyone to have one or two weighted implements. I suggest a backpack full of enough books to make it weight 15-20lbs, a kettlebell, or a set of dumbbells. You will also potentially use your living room furniture or a dining room chair. That should be all that’s needed. Classes are approximately an hour. These happen every week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8am PST/11am EST. Classes are $5 each. email me at edbauerfit@gmail.com for the links to join live or watch the recordings anytime and follow along.

New Year, New Name, NewEthic

After four years, PlantFit has decided to evolve into NewEthic. We still stand for everything that built the PlantFit name, but for various reasons we have decided to kick off 2016 as NewEthic Strength & Conditioning. This could mean something different for each of us. For some, it’s a representation of a new way of living that includes mindfulness in all parts of life, using functional fitness to fuel your drive. For others it can mean creating a new ethic in fitness and in health. One that doesn’t create an elite or disordered view, one that can hold space for everyone who’s down to get super strong and happy in their skin.

It’s a new year, and this is the NewEthic!
